North Pacific Yearly Meeting is made of of members of the Society of Friends in the northwestern United States. Some of the Yearly Meeting's records are stored at the Oregon Historical Society Library, Portland, Oregon, but copies of the Proceedings and Steering Committee minutes are also deposited in the Friends Historical Library, although FHL is not the formal depository.

Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Records: Friends' Workcamp Program (1942-2015), 1942-2015 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The Weekend Workcamps Program originated on the eve of World War II. It provides volunteers and opportunity to work in an inner city community, interact with neighbors, and dialog on peace and justice issues. Today the Friends' Workcamp Program operates under the auspices of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting's Standing Committee on Peace and Concerns. Records include minutes, reports, project files, correspondence, and other records from 1942 to the present.

Abstract:
South Central Yearly Meeting opened in 1961 as a member of Friends General Conference, growing out of the Southwest Conference that began meeting in 1957. Most of its early monthly meetings were originally recognized as such by FWCC. Today South Central includes unprogrammed Quakers meeting in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

André Trocmé and Magda Trocmé Papers, 1919- (inclusive)

Abstract:
André and Magda Trocmé are perhaps best known for their work in the small French town of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon where, during World War II, they inspired the villagers to help protect and sometimes to assist in the escape of Jews and other poltiical refugees. In 1938, André Trocmé, and his pacifist colleague Édouard Theis, founded L'Ecole Nouvelle Cévenol in Le Chambon, a Protestant, co-educational secondary school, with a curriculum of tolerance, honesty, and nonviolence. By 1942 the Germans had occupied the entire country. However, the population of Le Chambon and the Plateau Vivarais-Lignon region continued to aid an increasing number of refugees. In 1943, André Trocmé, Édouard Theis, and the head of the public school, Roger Darcissac were interned in a camp by the Vichy police and later went into hiding. In the late 1940s André and Magda Trocmé traveled as European Secretaries for the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR).

David Cortright is an anuthor and antimilitarist. He was a co-founder of GI's United Against the War in Vietnam. After the early 1970s Cortright led several peace organizations, including SANE, Inc. and SANE/FREEZE. Cortright current serves as president of the Fourth Freedom Forum [ca. 1996 - date].

Swarthmore Living Wage and Democracy Campaign records, 1970-2016 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The Swarthmore Living Wage and Democracy Campaign (SLW&DC), composed primarily of students with participation of staff and faculty, lobbiyed for a comprehensive living wage on campus and for greater transparency in the College's decision-making. SLW&DC formed in 2000 wound down in 2004 after the Board of Managers passed a proposal that met most of their demands. This collection was assembled by Kae Kalwaic, a staff member in the Education Department at Swarthmore from 1993-2017, who was active in SLW&DC.

Abstract:
In the 1980s, May Virginia Bassett Little (1913-1994) created a series of family scrapbooks accompanied by short memoirs and excerpts from her diaries. Her father was a birthright Quaker, and the family had deep roots in Swarthmore College and the Borough of Swarthmore. Her husband, Ralph V. Little, Jr., (1909-2001), also was raised in Swarthmore. Their son, Donald Townsend Little, continued his mother's interest in autobiography and compiling family history. This collection contains detailed family photo albums.
