It is a description of archival material held at the Quaker Meeting Records at Haverford College Quaker & Special Collections and Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College. Overview and metadata sections

Gunpowder and Patapsco meetings, formerly part of the Monthly Meeting at the Clifts, were set off as a monthly meeting in 1739. During the Separation of 1828, the meeting divided into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Membership in the Orthodox branch was small, and in 1844 the meeting was attached to Baltimore Monthly Meeting, Homewood.

Records of Gunpowder Monthly Meeting, 1687-2020. Includes men's and joint minutes 1739-2003 and 2016-2020, women's minutes 1742-1873, plus vital records 1687-1958, financial and property records, and other records (including born-digital).

Divided into series: 1.Men's and Joint Minutes; 2.Women's Minutes; 3.Vital Records; 4.Ministers & Elders; 5.Financial and Property Records; 6.Miscellaneous.

Vol. 1.1 includes marriages 1757-79. Vol. 1.11, 1.12, 1.13 includes misc. correspondence, certificates of removal, and misc. papers.

Deposit. Digital records from the 2010s deposited by Wayne Finegar, General Secretary of Baltimore Yearly Meeting, in 2020.
