- Jacob Ritter (1754-1834) was a merchant, who seems to have imported and sold drugs and other pharmaceutical products. Isaac, George, and Benjamin Isaac Ritter were his sons. This volume contains copies of 50 medicinal recipes originally created and compiled by Isaac Ritter and his father, Jacob Ritter, in 1810 and 1813. At the time of Jacob Ritter's estate settlement, the recipes were copied into this volume in 1844 by Benjamin Isaac Ritter and received by George Ritter the same year. Jacob Ritter (1754-1834) was a merchant, who seems to have imported and sold drugs and other pharmaceutical products. Isaac, George, and Benjamin Isaac Ritter were his sons.
