Overview and metadata sections
A volume with a red, decorative, paper cover concerning the care of horses. The volume contains recipes, remedies, formulas and instructions to treat over 200 diseases, injuries, maladies, and behavioral disorders of horses. Written in Germany in 1809 by N. N. Held. There is an index of treatments and medicinal remedies at the end of the volume. Held used two scripts throughout the volume. There is one leaf with ten remedies dated 1877 laid in the volume.
Sold at auction at Reiss & Sohn (Königstein im Taunus, Germany), 2016, lot 42.
