Abstract:: St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, Radnor Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania traces its origins to 1700, when services were held in the homes of local residents. The original church building, still extant on the property, was constructed in 1715, and continues to be used as a place of worship. In 1956, a new building, known as the "chapel" was constructed. A new and larger chapel was built in 2006 and the 1956 chapel was reconfigured as a fellowship hall and renamed St. David's Hall. As of 2016, St. David's Episcopal Church continues to live into its mission: "to know God in Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to others" and to expand its congregation. It also remains committed to continuing worship and maintaining and increasing its education activities and outreach ministries. Logan family papers, 1700-circa 1850

Abstract:: The Logans were a prominent Philadelphia family dating to 1699, when James Logan (1679-1751), the family patriarch, arrived in Philadelphia to serve as Secretary of the Pennsylvania colony. Through work in trade and politics, Logan and his descendants were intimately involved in the development of colonial Pennsylvania and, later, the fledging United States. The Logan family papers, 1700-circa 1850, consist of scattered documents related to the Logan family and their home, Stenton (in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa.). It includes letters, deeds and estate papers, three cookbooks, and various other documents.

Abstract:: Westtown School in Chester County, Pennsylvania is the oldest continuously operating coeducational boarding school in the United States. It was founded by the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in 1799 with the goal of educating Quaker children in an environment that fostered moral development consistent with their religious ideals. The Westtown School records, 1682-2013 (bulk 1799-2013), include records created by Westtown Boarding School, including its various administrative offices, Board of Trustees, faculty, and students. It is organized into nine series: "19th century records," "20th century records," "Board of Trustees," "Farm and Orchard," "Student papers," "Westtown Old Scholars Association and Westtown Alumni Association," "Subject files," "Special formats," and "Publications." Newbold-Fox Family Papers, 1710-1960 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The collection is composed largely of property and legal papers which descended in the Quaker Newbold and Fox families of Burlington County, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Newbolds were among the earliest settlers and prominent landowners in West Jersey. The Fox family of Philadelphia was descended from Justinian Fox who emigrated to America in 1685. In 1796, the family purchased a number of tracts of land in western Pennsylvania from the Commonwealth. A descendant, Samuel Mickle Fox (1851-1905) was a successful estates lawyer and antiquarian with an interest in family history. He married Elizabeth Richards Newbold in 1890, and their daughter inherited the records, genealogical research, and miscellaneous papers which include some correspondence and photographs. Of special interest are the property records concerning the Cedar Swamp Tract, New Jersey.

Malin Family Papers, 1685-1881 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The collection is largely composed of financial, legal and real estate documents relating to the Malin property in Upper Providence, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Randall Malin of Cheshire, England, purchased 250 acres from William Penn in 1681. The bulk of the papers are related to the tenure of his grandson William Malin (1727-1803). His son Abner Malin (1752-1848) married Rachel Ogden in 1803 and was disowned by Chester Monthly Meeting in 1805. Other papers concern their son Stephen O. Malin (1806-1892) who continued to farm the property, family estate papers, and a small number of letters received by Rachel Ogden Malin.
