Abstract:
Mabel Detweiler (1917-2005) was active in local Republican Party politics, particularly with the Eastern Montgomery Council of Republican Women for which she served as president from 1970 to 1973. She resided in Noble, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Mabel Detweiler files, 1958-1998, consist of campaign literature, circulars, programs, newsletters, clippings, and other ephemera relating to State and local elections, with some meeting notes and correspondence during the 1970-1973 period. The collection also includes some papers from Mabel's husband Russell's term as Abington Township Commissioner.

The R. B. Ball and Company, Inc. was incorporated in 1976 as Ball and Coffin, Inc., but changed its name in 1978. R. B. Ball and Company, Inc. sold and rented residential and commercial properties in the Jenkintown area and managed the Valleybrook Apartments. The R. B. Ball and Company, Inc. records, circa 1940-1996, are comprised of the files of Robert E. Murray, President of the Board of Directors and sales manager. The Cheltenham Police Department, established in 1903, is as of 2013 the third largest Police Department in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Cheltenham Police Department photographs, 1909-1922, consist of approximately 5,000 glass plate negatives, film negatives and a few prints, and contains official police department photographs of accident and crime scenes, mug shots, corpse and autopsy images, and fingerprints. Heist-Schnell family papers, circa 1903-1988

Abstract:
The Heist family once owned virtually all the land bounded by Easton Road, Church Road, Limekiln Pike and Glenside Avenue in Glenside, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Through marriage into the Schnell family, they later owned land in Flourtown and developed many of the early suburban communities in that area. The Heist-Schnell family papers, circa 1903-1988, consist primarily of check stubs, bank statements, cancelled checks, account books, and other financial records. The collection also contains a significant amount of ephemera from local schools and churches, as well as some some articles by entomologist Eleanor Heist Slifer.
