R. B. Ball and Company, Inc. was incorporated in 1976 as Ball and Coffin, Inc., but changed its name in 1978. R. B. Ball and Company, Inc. sold and rented residential and commercial properties in the Jenkintown area and managed the Valleybrook Apartments. The company was dissolved and its assets sold to The Realty Group, Inc. in 1996. Employees included Ralph B. Ball, Robert E. Murray, Jr., Joseph L. Fletcher, Jane B. Eichert, William J. Kees, and Lesher P. Valentine.

This collection consists of the files of Robert E. Murray, who served as President of the Board of Directors and sales manager for R. B. Ball and Company, Inc.

The records consist of shareholders and Board of Director quarterly meeting minutes, 1976-1996, which briefly discuss the financial status of the company, new hirings, improvements to the office, etc.; federal and Pennsylvania state income tax filings, 1995-1997; Ball & Coffin articles of incorporation, 1976; name change documentation, 1978; employment contracts for Robert E. Murray, Jr. and Joseph L. Fletcher, 1980; real estate license; and documents related to the company's dissolution, 1996. The records also contain the stock transfer ledger, certificates of agreed value, 1978-1987, and stock certificates, 1976-1983.

Miscellaneous items related to the company are two letterhead envelopes, a leather folder with Robert E. Murray, Jr.'s business cards, WWII gas ration cards for Ralph B. Ball, a circular from Valentine's, and a circular for 1340 Woodland Road, Rydal, listed by R. B. Ball and Company, Inc.
