Isaac B. Mather (1806-1907) operated a gristmill at Washington Lane and Tacony Creek in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

This collection consists of 6 items of Isaac B. Mather (1806-1907), including his daybook, August 1835-April 1841, for gristmill business, showing sales of flour, rye, corn meal, and other grains from his mill at Washington Lane and Tacony Creek (acc. 1969.001); Isaac B. Mather receipt book, 1847-1866, for farm rent, mortgage and bond interest, Anthony Webster estate, with later notes including deed of Waterman's Tract and notes on family papers in attic; Isaac Mather daybook, 1919-1920 (1991.017); Tamenend Archers Scorebook, 1881-1882, 1884. (1992.003). Also "Old Man's Reverie" poem by Isaac Mather, 1906 (printed) and a sketch of Old York Road at Jenkintown, c. 1830, drawn by J. W. Ridpath, dictated by Charles Mather.

The Mather family papers were all donated by Isaac B. Jarrett.

This is a preliminary finding aid. No physical processing, rehousing, reorganizing, or folder listing was done in the HCI-PSAR project.

Photographs transferred to Photograph Collection 2 volumes on archery removed--copies of title pages with papers.
