This collection consists of records of the New Presidential Nominating Committee for the 11th President of Swarthmore College, 1972-1973, and the Presidential Nominating Committee for the 12th President of Swarthmore College, 1981-1982, as well as records from hiring several other executive office positions: Dean of Students, Dean of the College, Assistant to the President, and Vice President of Finance. The files do not contain personal information about specific candidates. They do contain records about committee formation and procedures, job descriptions, templates for correspondence with candidates, committee meeting minutes and correspondence, and other papers.

Swarthmore College records on the Area Universities' Bicentennial Exhibition, 1973/1977 (inclusive)

Abstract:
In conjunction with the United States Bicentennial Celebration in Philadelphia in 1976, Swarthmore College banded together with eleven other local colleges and universities to create the Area Universities' Bicentennial Exhibition, a public display titled "Learning, Revolution, and Democracy." This collection includes both internal Swarthmore documents about the college's contributions to the exhibit, as well as correspondence with other members of the University and College Consortium for the Bicentennial about coordinating plans.
