The Free German Youth Broadside, originally written in German with a typed translation included as part of the collection, is titled "Proposal of a Resolution by Knud Ahlborn and Frank Glatzel". The proposal summarizes in the form of a four-point plan the political program of the Free German Youth (FDJ), the youth affiliate to the Communist East German Socialist Unity Party (SED) which ruled East Germany during the era of Soviet control.

"Among the Red Indians", Undated.

Abstract:
Henry Stanley Newman's "Among the Red Indians" provides a narrative of Newman's travels among Native Americans west of the Mississippi River in 1889. The manuscript was prepared for Mary S. Kimber when she was proposing to write a book on the work that American Friends did with indigenous peoples, which was published in 1917 and entitled "Friends and the Indians." Newman's manuscript was never published. The manuscript describes the various settlements that Newman and his wife visited on their travels, the nations they interacted ith, including the Muscogee, and the landscape.

"Satan's Harbinger Encountered", Undated.

Abstract:
"Satan's Harbginer Encountered, His False News of a Trumpet Detected, His Crooked Ways in the Wildernesse, laid open to the view of the impartial & judicious, Being Some thing by way of answer to Daniel Leeds his book entitled News of a Trumpet Sounding in the Wildernesse etc. wherein is shown," as indicated by the title, was a response to Daniel Leed's publication, which criticized the Society of Friends and sought to correct the accusations made by Leeds. The original manuscript was written by Caleb Pusey (1650?-1727), and published in Philadelphia in 1700, though it is unknown who copied this volume. According to a book plate on the inside cover, this volume was originally owned by Asa Matlack, and was later loaned by him to the Library of Chester Monthly Meeting, in Moorestown, New Jersey.

The majority of this collection is comprised of the handwritten copies of speeches made by Native American leaders, as well as a single letter addressed to "Friends residing among the Indians." Though the materials are undated, they likely date to the 1790s-1810s, and the majority of the speeches make mention of the Seneca nation, and refer to Cornplanter, a Seneca leader. The speeches include both those given by Quakers to Native American audiences and those made by Native American leaders.

Architecture Prints Collection, unknown (inclusive)

Abstract:
This collection contains a wide range of print materials related to architectural study and illustration. Mostly from the 19th century, these prints were most likely used as illustrations in bound or grouped collections, for study prints of architectural styles, or for leisure as keepsakes or collectable of particular places. Most of the collection contains prints of churches, ruins, and chateaus in Europe (mostly France). Although this is the bulk of the material, there are also a number of blueprints, and prints from America. The prints are mostly lithographs, but there are also several engravings. This collection would be useful for research related to architectural illustration, 19th century tourism, and 19th century print culture.

Francis R. Kirkham Law Clerk papers, circa 1935-1938 (inclusive)

Abstract:
Francis Kirkham (1904-1996) was born in Utah in 1904. After earning his undergraduate and law degrees from George Washington University, Kirkham clerked for two Supreme Court Justices, including former Chief Justice Evan Hughes. During his time as a law clerk, Kirkham drafted a report suggesting revisions to the way people filed for bankruptcy, which was a pertinent issue in the wake of the Great Depression. This report, "Suggested Revisions to the General Orders and Forms of Bankruptcy," was published in 1939. The collection, circa 1935-1939, includes correspondence with Supreme Court Justices, drafts, reports, National Bankruptcy Conference drafts, and related material regarding Kirkham's activity as a Supreme Court law clerk drafting the "General Order and Rules of Bankruptcy," which was published in 1939.
