Robert J. Leach was born in 1916 in New England. He was a conscientious objector during World War II and a teacher after the war. He has done extensive research on the history of whaling and Nantucket Quakers.

This collection is comprised of the typed manuscripts of Robert Judson Leach, which focus on Quaker history.

The Robert Judson Leach manuscripts were donated to Special Collections, Haverford College in 1981 by Arthur Mekeel.
