Overview and metadata sections
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish author, most well known for novels such as Treasure Island. He also wrote poetry and travel narratives.
The front section of the notebook contains geometry and other mathematical exercises. Turning the book the other way around reveals poetry and poetic compositions, along with some mathematical exercises. These are drafts, with many cross-outs and changes. A note on the binding identifies this notebook as No. 263A, Early Verses.
