Abstract:
The Jenkintown Businessmen's Association was established in 1933. Over the next several years the organization changed its name a number of times. In 1961 the group became known as the Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce. The organization marked its expanding geographical interests when it renamed itself the Greater Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce in 1968 and then the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in 1992. The Greater Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce records, 1962-1994, consist of Board of Directors minutes and other materials relating to the activities of the organization.

Norman W. Fesmire was chairman of the Lower Moreland Township Historical Architectural Review Board and his wife Sylvia co-founded the Pennickpacka Historical Society. These papers relate to the Fesmires' interest in Lower Moreland Township history and historic preservation. The Fesmire papers, 1967-1997, include notes on local history and historic sites, extracts from publications, and ephemera.

Richard Rothe photographs and diaries, 1895-1930 (inclusive)

Abstract:
Internationally-known horticulturalist Richard Herman Rothe was the developer of what he called the "American rock garden." The Richard Rothe photographs and diaries, 1895-1930, consist of 250 lantern slides and color prints of garden views of Pennsylvania estates in eastern Montgomery County, Philadelphia, and the western Main Line as well as family scenes and views on Mount Desert Island, Maine. The collection also contains copies and originals of some of Rothe's diaries, photocopies of articles he published, and research materials on him.

Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust records, 1971-2009 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust was established as the Pennypack Watershed Association in 1970. A public non-profit organization, it was dedicated to providing a unified approach for implementing sound environmental goals for the 56 square-mile Pennypack Creek area that extends through the suburbs of Bucks and eastern Montgomery Counties and into the highly urbanized areas of Northeast Philadelphia. The Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust records, 1971-2009, chiefly consist of minutes reporting on land acquisition, finances, and programs and activities. There are also miscellaneous records relating to the organization's activities.

The Noble Improvement Association was established in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1906 to "promote the advancement of the economic welfare of the members and residents of Noble, and the general improvement of said place and the properties thereof." Mabel Detweiler (1917-2005) was active in local Republican Party politics, particularly with the Eastern Montgomery Council of Republican Women for which she served as president from 1970 to 1973. She resided in Noble, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Mabel Detweiler files, 1958-1998, consist of campaign literature, circulars, programs, newsletters, clippings, and other ephemera relating to State and local elections, with some meeting notes and correspondence during the 1970-1973 period. The collection also includes some papers from Mabel's husband Russell's term as Abington Township Commissioner.
