Overview and metadata sections

The Huntingdon Valley Fish and Game Protective Association was founded in 1933. The Association was particularly concerned with the polluted conditions of the Pennypack Creek in the 1950s, and getting it stocked with fish.

This collection consists of minutes of the Huntingdon Valley Fish and Game Protective Association, 1933-1936, 1951-1969, reporting on fish stocking and catching, game releases and hunting, tree planting, shooting and fishing tournaments. The Association was particularly concerned with the polluted conditions of the Pennypack Creek in the 1950’s, and getting it stocked. The minutes include financial reports, names of members elected, and occasionally brief descriptions of programs presented at meetings. There is miscellaneous correspondence, member lists, Constitution and By-Laws, and photographs of the Torresdale Hatchery.
