Marilyn Stringer papers, 1980-2013

Dr. Stringer was a Professor in Women’s Health Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical scholarship focused on the promotion of a healthy pregnancy and the reduction of preterm births for high-risk women. This collection consists primarily of papers which Marilyn Stringer prepared and received at conferences, workshops, and other professional activities. It also contains correspondence, photographs, certificates, and other materials.

The Quad Council of Public Nursing Organizations provides leadership, voice and visibility for public health nurses through setting a national policy agenda on issues related to public health nursing. The Quad Council is comprised of representatives from four organizations: Association of Public Health Nurses (APHN); Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE); Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health Association (PHN - APHA); and the American Nurses Association Council on Nursing Practice and Economics (ANA).
