Abstract:: The American businessman John T. Diebold, founder of the Diebold Group, Inc. and author of the management classic Automation, was a graduate of Swarthmore College (class of 1949). This collection consists of 89 scrapbooks carefully constructed by Diebold to document his life and the major events of his business career and personal life.

Amy Grace Mekeel papers concerning Conservative Friends, New York Yearly Meeting, 1946-1968 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The collectionn contains Mekeel's notes and abstracts concerning Quaker meetings in the Scipio and Farmington Quarterly Meetings of New York Yearly Meeting, particularly concerning the various nineteenth century Orthodox separations. Friends Boarding Home of Concord Quarterly Meeting (The Hickman) Photographs, 1896-1991 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The Hickman is a senior living community located in the heart of West Chester, Pennsylvania, and which is guided by Quaker principles and tradition. This collection depicts the life of those in the Hickman, providing color and black and white photographs of guests, staff, and the boarding home, from 1896 to 1991.

The Harned photograph collection, 1911-1992 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The Harned was a non-profit boarding home for the elderly in Moylan, PA, under the care of Media Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. It operated under the direction of The Harned Committee. It was established in 1940 through the bequest of Quaker sisters, Phebe and Katherine Harned, and laid down in 1994. The collection contains loose and mounted photographs, clippings, and a scrapbook depicting residential life.

Friends General Conference Photos, 1894-1997 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Founded in 1900, when Hicksite yearly meetings joined together, the FGC is dedicated to holding annual meetings intended to nurture Quaker faith, practice, and inclusivity. In this collection, dated from 1894 to 1997, the yearly FGC meetings are photographed and presented in loose black and white and color photographs that show conference attendees and locations.

Donald C. Turner family photographs, 1890-1977 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Donald Carré Turner (1909-1989) was a construction executive, a genealogist, and an alumnus of Swarthmore College. This collection, dating from the 1890s to the 1970s, contains a wide variety of photograph types, for the most part depicting gatherings and individual people through portraits, but there are also some miscellaneous sights/people depicted and some landscapes (e.g. Swarthmore).

Abstract:: This collection contains personal photographs taken by Roy Moger of places, persons, and events concerning New York Yearly Meeting in the 1960s. Of special interest are photographs of the meeeting houses, the March on Washington and a Memorial for the Children of Birmingham.
