Abstract:: Albert J. Wood (1910-2006) was a businessman and philanthropist who served on Dropsie College's Board of Directors. The Albert J. Wood Papers document the change from Dropsie College to the Annenberg Research Institute and then to, what is today known as, the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies in affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania. The collection consists of correspondence with Walter H. Annenberg, records of Drospie College and subsequently the Annenberg Research Institute and the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies, and documentation of various business trips, dating from 1982 to 2000.

Abstract:: Judah Goldin (1914-1998) was a rabbi, author and professor of Jewish literature and history at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Duke University, the University of Iowa, Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania. The Judah Goldin Collection consists of offprints of various articles, academic journals, notebooks, correspondence and academic materials, dating from 1914 to 1985.

Abstract:: Jehoshua A. Gilboa (1918-1981) was a journalist and editor for Dvar, Zmanim and Maariv, and an author of multiple books about Jews in the Soviet Union. The Jehoshua A. Gilboa Collection consists of typescripts for "Hyog" and "Martyred Language: Hebrew Culture in the Soviet Union" (which became the book A Language Silenced: The Suppression of Hebrew Literature and Culture in the Soviet Union), dating circa 1982.

Abstract:: This photograph album, created by an unknown woman, gives insight into the life of a Holocaust survivor in displaced person camps and her immigration to Israel in the late 1940s. This collection consists of thirty-six photographs taken between the years of 1946 and 1948, including photographs which are both candid and posed.

Also includes some of the numerous publications and papers she wrote and, most notably, her research work with reducing restraint use among the frail elderly in nursing homes.
