Arthur W. Clark Prison Reform Papers, 1949-2006 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The collection contains correspondence and other papers of Arthur W. Clark, a Quaker active in prison reform and restorative justice. Long active in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting committees, he was the first secretary of the PYM Prison Service Committee established in 1960, and he served as Executive Director of the Clemency Project Working Group. A small amount of personal correspondence is included.

Haddonfield Friends School records, 1990-2009 (inclusive) 2003-2006 (bulk)

Abstract:: The Haddonfield Friends School (HFS) was established by members of the Haddonfield Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends in New Jersey in 1786. The first "public" school in the borough, it accepts both Quaker and non-Quaker students. This collection consists of records compiled by Patricia Kane Williams, who joined the School Committee (Board) in 2003 and served as its clerk. It includes minutes, correspondence, and other records of the School Committee and its subcommittees, with a focus on financial and property records.

Quakers Uniting in Publications (QUIP) Records, 1983-2010 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Quakers Uniting in Publications (QUIP) is a group founded in 1983 to promote production and distribution of Quaker materials. It is an international network of organizations and individuals that work to make Quaker publications more accessible and to support the production of Quaker publications through forums, conferences, annual meetings, and collaborative projects. This collection includes documents concerning the group's formation, membership lists, treasurer's records, correspondence, annual and midyear meetings, and catalogs. Additional donations in 2006 and 2012 expanded the collection to include submissions, drafts, and the production process of Whispers of Faith: Young Friends share their experiences of Quakerism (2005) and Spirit Rising: Young Quaker Voices (2010).

Abstract:: Friends Committee on Unity with Nature (FCUN) grew out of the Workshop on Living in Harmony with the Natural Environment at the FGC Gathering at Oberlin in 1987. In 2001, sixteen North American yearly meetings appointed representatives to its Annual Meeting. In 2003, their name was changed to Quaker Earthcare Witness. The group publishes a newsletter, BeFriending Creation.
