This collection spans Neville Strumpf's personal and professional life, in particular her tenure at the University of Pennsylvania. Also includes some of the numerous publications and papers she wrote and, most notably, her research work with reducing restraint use among the frail elderly in nursing homes.

Although largely incomplete, the organizational files show the extent of Mereness's involvement in the development of nursing at both regional and national levels.
