Abstract:: This collection contains records created by and about the Haverford College Alumni Association. A large portion of the collection consists of the meeting minutes and reports of the Alumni Association as well as its two core groups, the Alumni Association Executive Committee and the Alumni Council. The collection also contains materials pertaining to class reunions, alumni affinity groups, events, awards and prizes, publications, and guides.

Abstract:: Records include accounts, correspondence, lists of members, minutes, reports of the committee, speeches, and statements of function and services. Chaired by Lovett Dewees, M.D. from 1933 to ca. 1954, the committee established a marriage counseling service in 1954 and dealt with issues such as divorce, sex education, and marriage.

Abstract:: This collection includes papers from Wilmot Rufus Jones's time on the Board of the Corporation of Haverford. There is also significant material from his alumni activities, particularly alumni donations and his term a the Class of 1923 Alumni Representative. These include correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, publications, and miscellaneous papers. There are similar materials from Phi Beta Kappa, as well as some correspondence and reports from his time on the Council for Delaware Education. Additionally, there is correspondence and reports from Jones's days serving on the Board of Managers and working with the Corporation of Haverford College. Materials on the Executive Committee, Committee on Committees, and the Standing Nominating Committee are included.

Abstract:: Harold J. Chance (1898-1975) worked for peace education through the American Friends Service Committee, the Peace Caravans, the Youth Section of the Emergency Peace Campaign, the Institute of International Relations, and the Friends Peace Service from 1934-1964. Included in the Harold Chance papers are correspondence, journals, writings, mailings, reports, and materials on the Friends Peace Service. Also included are Harold Haines Brinton's (1884-1973) lectures and course notes on topics such as history and religion, mysticism in various religions, religion and social change, and the philosophy of pacifism. Researchers will find this collection is especially rich in Quaker history, specifically relating to the discussion of the use of the Quaker voice by individual Friends' groups, in the mid 1950's.
