The Joint Committee of the Religious Society of Friends was founded in 1939, primarily suggested by Abington Quarterly Meeting. Members were nominated by their Quarterly Meetings. The goal of the committee was to spread Quakerism in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and to start new worship groups and meetings.
