Abstract:
Dr. William Likoff was a renowned cardiologist and was president of the American College of Cardiology from 1967-1968 and graduate of Hahnemann Medical College, class of 1938. Later in 1975, he helped play a key role in founding the Likoff Institute for Cardiovascular Research at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital. Two years later in 1977 he became the president of Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital.y. Contains Dr. Likoff's CV, bibliography, some correspondence, photographs, news clippings, and reprints, as well as awards and certificates.

Abstract:
Dr. John H. Moyer [1917-2004] was a medical researcher and professor at Hahnemann Medical College. He is known for his numerous publications, as well as his developmental research work on Diuril, an early and effective blood pressure medication, and his work on developing the first portable dialysis machine. From 1957 to 1974, Dr. Moyer acted as the Chair of Medicine at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, and later went on to become the Medical Director at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital from 1974 to 1988. Contains a biography, bibliography, and photographs, focused on the Department of Medicine history and early hypertension research. Also contains information on the first Hahnemann symposium in 1958, on hypertension.

Dr. Ann Preston, a graduate of the first class of the Female Medical College of PA, initiated a course of lectures at Woman's Hospital of Philadelphia on nursing the sick in the 1860s. On February 1, 1908, an official School of Nursing began and hosted students until the school closed in 1980. As an artificial collection, the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania School of Nursing Records contains materials related to administration, recruitment, public events, and general education.

Gene-Ann Polk was a physician, hospital administrator, professor of pediatrics at Columbia University, and president of the Susan Smith McKinney Steward Medical Society. She was involved with various organizations for Black women physicians in and around New York. The materials in this collection are related to Dr. Polk's education, her private practice, and her years at Harlem Hospital. The collection also includes materials Polk collected related to Black women physicians, and the records of the Susan Smith McKinney Steward Medical Society (SSMS).

Abstract:
Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) vault contents collection, 1886-1996. In 2010, the collection was re-housed from an MCP vault on Henry Avenue to the Legacy Center Archives and Special Collections at the Drexel University College of Medicine. This extensive collection consists of financial materials related to the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania (WMCP), Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP), Hahnemann University (HU), Allegheny Health Education and Research Foundation (AHERF), and Allegheny University (AU). Part of the collection focuses on WMCP endowment funds, bequests, grants, gifts, and contracts. Materials include notebooks, check receipts, transmittal documents, acknowledgment letters, correspondence, memoranda, copies of wills, and treasurer's accounts. John Hubley Schall earned his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in 1893. Materials represent the life and work of Dr. Schall, his wife, Nina Schall, M.D. (Cornell Medical School, 1906) and probably their son, John Schall, also a physician, who likely owned some of the journals in the collection. Materials in the collection include photographs, illustrations, correspondence, notes, lectures and speeches, and publications.
