Abstract:: This collection is made up of LGBT-related poetry, prose, music, and photography chapboooks produced from the 1960s through the current day, most from the 1970s and 1980s. The majority of the materials are in the poetic genre, but literature including short stories and plays are included, as well as books of lyrics and musical notation, and books of photography, especially those which include creative texts alongside the graphics material.

Kay Lahusen papers, 1961-2021 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Katherine "Kay" Lahusen (1930–2021) was a photojournalist, author, activist, and longtime partner of Barbara Gittings (1961–2007), considered by many to be the mother of the LGBT movement in the United States. Lahusen's photography and activism was integral to the organizing work of Gittings and fellow activist Frank Kameny. The Kay Lahusen papers are comprised primarily of content Lahusen retained, created, or consumed in the fourteen years following Barbara Gittings' death in 2007 until her own passing in 2021.

Abstract:: Includes the records that document the work of the Board of Managers of Swarthmore College beginning in 1862, together with the records of the Board of Managers of the Friends Educational Association (1862). Also included are the records of committees appointed by the Board to oversee the operation of the College from its founding to the present. Records consist of minutes, committees of the Board, lists of members, resolutions, reports, papers of individual members of the Board, and secondary works and reference files relating to the Board of Managers.

Abstract:: The Intercultural Center (IC) at Swarthmore College was founded in 1992 to promote systemic change toward a multicultural perspective across the institution and to foster community-building and collaboration among diverse groups within and outside of the college. The collection contains records relating to the founding of the IC and its activiites, as well as records that detail the activities of groups within the IC, specfically HOLA (Hispanics Organized for Latino Awareness/Hispanic Organization for Latino Awareness), SAO (Swarthmore Asian Organization), SQU (Swarthmore Queer Union), and NASA (Native American Student Association).
