Abstract:: In the 17th century, Welsh immigrants settled in the area that would later be known as Malvern, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Originally part of Willistown Township as a village called West Chester Intersection, the village was renamed Malvern in 1873 and incorporated in 1889 as the Borough of Malvern, formally separating it from Willistown Township. As of 2015, the Borough of Malvern remains a small town with a railway station and a variety of cultural and civic organizations, and as a result of recent revitalization efforts, boasts a wide assortment of local shops in its business district. The Malvern Historical Commission photographs, slides, and negatives, 1954-2012 (bulk 2001-2012), consist of photographs, slides, and negatives pertaining to people, organizations, and events in Malvern, taken primarily by members of the Malvern Historical Commission.

The history of the area of eastern Montgomery County has been documented significantly through the collecting efforts of the Old York Road Historical Society. Abstract:: Norman W. Fesmire was chairman of the Lower Moreland Township Historical Architectural Review Board and his wife Sylvia co-founded the Pennickpacka Historical Society. These papers relate to the Fesmires' interest in Lower Moreland Township history and historic preservation. Abstract:: Many men and women from Perkasie, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area served in the military during World War I and World War II. The Perkasie Historical Society World Wars collection, 1917-2001 (bulk 1917-1946), primarily consists of photograph albums and clippings scrapbooks that document their involvement. It also includes pamphlets, ephemera, ration books and cards, training manuals, and printed histories of various military divisions. Of special interest is a scrapbook with photographs of all of the WWI servicemen from Perkasie and short typed biographies about each soldier's service.

Abstract:: Perkasie is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania midway between Philadelphia and Allentown. The site of William Penn's 'Perkasie Manor,' the town was incorporated in 1879 and by the turn of the 20th century had become the third largest station on the North Penn railroad line. The Perkasie Historical Society photograph collection, circa 1880-2000, consists of various photographs of local people, events, buildings, organizations, and other subjects. Most of the photographs are original photographic prints; there are also some photocopies, glass plate negatives, slides, and oversized photographs.
