Lee Tire & Rubber Company records, 1890-1937 (inclusive)

Abstract:
J. Ellwood Lee was a prominent businessman in Conshohocken, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He manufactured medical supplies from 1883-1909, and then opened a rubber factory which continued to produce tires as "Lee of Conshohocken" until 1980. The Lee Tire & Rubber Company records, 1890-1937, includes records of J. Ellwood Lee's medical supply company, Lee Rubber & Tire Company, and some subsidiaries. Most of the records relate to finances, but there is a subsidiary's minute book and a small amount of administrative/legal materials as well.

As per her will, after her death, their home and grounds in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania were donated to the Borough of Conshohocken for use as a public park and community center. The Mary H. Wood Park Commission records, 1917-1999, is comprised of meeting minutes, correspondence, pamphlets relating to park equipment and maintenance, and records of the various clubs which utilize the facility.
