Abstract:: Mildred C. Williams and Janet R. Brittingham were genealogists who together self-published genealogy histories and genealogy-source transcripts, primarily focusing on Southeastern Pennsylvania, under the name Will-Britt Books. The Will-Britt Books genealogy research files and books, 1965-2012, consist of the working files, publications, and reference materials from the offices of Will-Britt Books. It is organized into three series: I. Genealogy research files; II. Will-Britt Books publications; and III. Reference materials and administrative records.

Abstract:: Anne Hannum Cresson was born around 1847 to Walter Cresson and Alice Hannum. The Cresson family of Philadelphia is descended from Pierre Cresson, a French Huguenot, born in 1609 or 1610. The Anne H. Cresson family papers, 1820-1900, contain the genealogical research of Anne H. Cresson, along with original papers from various family members.

Abstract:: Lois Rapp (1907-1992) was a watercolorist, illustrator, and art educator based in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rapp's works are currently included in the collections of the Woodmere Art Gallery, Philadelphia and the Valley Forge Memorial Chapel, Pennsylvania. The Lois Rapp papers, 1922-1992 (bulk 1950-1980), consist of papers, photographs, and ephemera relating to Rapp's art career.

Jacob S. Geller business and estate records, 1888-1936 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Jacob Stoll Geller (1846-1916), a retail merchant, public official, and prominent Mason, founded and operated Geller's Emporium, a wholesale department store in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. By the late 19th century, the emporium came to serve as the largest retailer in the North Penn area of Montgomery County. After Geller passed away in 1916, his business was briefly carried on by his family though its success diminished considerably. The bulk of Jacob S. Geller business and estate records, 1888-1936, is invoices for goods purchased by Jacob S. Geller and, later, the Jacob Geller estate. Also included are incoming business correspondence to Jacob S. Geller and estate financial records.

Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania records, 1933-2013 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The land that is now the Morris Arboretum at the University of Pennsylvania, the official Arboretum of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, was previously the private estate of Quaker siblings John Thompson Morris (1847-1915) and Lydia Thompson Morris (1849-1932). Bequeathed to the University of Pennsylvania in 1933, it was part of the University's Botany Department until, in 1975, it was established as a separate Interdisciplinary Resource Center. The Morris Arboretum at the University of Pennsylvania records, 1933-2013, include the office files of former directors, various administrative and financial records, correspondence, press clippings about the Arboretum, membership reports, programs and ephemera, publicity photographs.

Abstract:: Robert N. Jordan formed the Jaytee Corporation in December 1946 and transferred title to properties he owned to the new real estate holding company. The Jaytee Corporation mostly dealt with industrial properties in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and ended when Jordan retired. The Robert N. Jordan real estate records, 1946-1986, consist mostly of sales records and advertising data, with settlement agreements, insurance records, and property fact-sheets.

Abstract:: Theodore B. Culver was a wealthy mill-owner in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. His wife was Anne Jane Skilton Wallace, who established the Jenkintown Day Nursery in 1903. The Theodore B. and Annie Wallace Culver receipted bills, 1912-1914, are from various vendors in the Jenkintown area and Philadelphia, as well as receipts for charitable contributions, paid wages, collected rents, and other miscellany.

Gibson family papers, 1860-1955 (bulk) 1761-1955 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Henry C. Gibson (1830-1891), one of the wealthiest men in Philadelphia in his time, indulged liberally in collecting art and philanthropic causes. His son, J. Howard Gibson, lived from about 1855 until about 1894. J. Howard's grandson, Henry C. Gibson, Jr. (born circa 1922), established a firm to explore commercial uses of atomic energy in Palm Beach, Florida. The Gibson family papers, 1860-1955, primarily concern John Howard Gibson and his father Henry Clay Gibson, with some material on other family members. It consists mostly of family scrapbooks and memorabilia.

Sliker was a professional photographer based in Bridesburg (Philadelphia, Pa.) who took street scene and building photographs throughout the region, many images being printed as real photo postcards. The William H. Sliker photographs, 1905-1915, contain about 270 glass negatives of views in Huntingdon Valley (Montgomery County, Pa.), Southampton (Bucks County, Pa.), and Frankford and Bridesburg (Philadelphia, Pa.).
