Abstract:: The Old York Road Symphony was founded in 1932 and gave its first concert in 1933, at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Its mission is to provide an outlet for the interests and talents of serious musicians of all ages, while enriching the cultural life of suburban Philadelphia. The Old York Road Symphony records, 1934-2010, include various administrative and financial records such as minutes, membership lists, and financial documents, as well as programs, clippings, and ephemera.

Abstract:: Leon Clemmer (1926-2013) was an architect, historian, planner, artist, master craftsman, and civic leader active in Philadelphia and eastern Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Leon Clemmer papers, 1961-1998, reflect Clemmer's professional, civic, and personal activities and interests. The collection includes photographs, brochures, ephemera, and miscellaneous documents relating to Clemmer's architectural projects; research files on historical topics of interest to Clemmer; files relating to his work at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania; and some autobiographical documents.

Abstract:: Glenside Weldon Elementary and Junior High School was a part of the Abington School District. It opened in 1907 and closed in 2001. The Glenside Weldon Elementary and Junior High School records, 1939-2000, is primarily composed of scrapbooks assembled by the Glenside-Weldon Parent Teacher Association (PTA), as well as subject-based files and administrative and financial records of the PTA.

Abstract:: The Keswick Theatre, designed by famed architect Horace Trumbauer as a combination vaudeville/movie house, opened in Glenside, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1928. The theater was closed in 1980 and slated for demolition when the Glenside Landmarks Society, a not-for-profit group, formed with the hope of restoring it to its former grandeur and operations. They were successful, and the Keswick re-opened under private ownership in 1988. The Keswick Theatre records, 1924-2006, include newspaper clippings, a scrapbook, ephemera such as tickets and programs, documents from the Glenside Landmark Society, and research for a book on the Keswick.

Abstract:: Internationally-known horticulturalist Richard Herman Rothe was the developer of what he called the "American rock garden." The Richard Rothe photographs and diaries, 1895-1930, consist of 250 lantern slides and color prints of garden views of Pennsylvania estates in eastern Montgomery County, Philadelphia, and the western Main Line as well as family scenes and views on Mount Desert Island, Maine. The collection also contains copies and originals of some of Rothe's diaries, photocopies of articles he published, and research materials on him.
