This collection documents the administration of that school since its founding. The contributions of faculty, staff, committees, and academic offices are also documented.

Abstract:: The Biddle Law Library was first established in the law department at City Hall and the first librarian was hired in 1888. Twelve years later, the library moved to the law school's current building in West Philadelphia. This collection consists of subject files created by Biddle librarians and directors during their tenure at the library, administrative files created by department, and exhibit files from library displays.

Abstract:: The Making of Modern Law is a three part series that contains a vast array of information on legal history. This collection consists of the backfiles of the The Making of Modern Law: Trials, 1600-1926, which is the third series. The bulk of the collection consists of 10 Super DLT Tapes which contain files on unofficially published accounts of trials; official trial documents, briefs and arguments; and official records of legislative proceedings, administrative proceedings and arbitrations. The collection also has a complete file list which is included on the CD disc.

Abstract:: This collection documents the Penn Law School Legal Oral History Project, 1999-2006. The project was a collaborative effort by a team of faculty, librarians, and students. They recorded and preserved first-person narratives of graduates, members of the Penn Law community, and public interest lawyers. The collection contains audiovisuals, interview transcripts, biographical essays of the interview subjects, background research, typewritten correspondence, and release forms.

The Law Alumni and Development Office has collaborated with the Law Alumni Society to host receptions and meetings across the country. This collection contains reports, minute books, and correspondence created by both the society and the office. Also included are publications that the society and office have collaborated on, such as the The Law Alumni Journal and class directories.

Abstract:: This collection documents student life at the law school. Included in this collection are materials created by student organizations, journals, and graduating classes. The materials document the first clubs that were formed to conduct moot court excerises as well as the work of the law school's first student journal, The Law Review. Also included in this collection are flyers, photographs, and programs from annual activities hosted by law students.
