- The office of the Secretary of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia was created during the organization of the College in 1787. The Secretary is the appointed officer of record. The position's original duties were to record the minutes and transactions of the College and preserve its documents and correspondence.
This collection contains correspondence of the Office of the Secretary of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia from the 1890s to 1908, along with several letters dating to the 1830s and 1958. Of note is the resignation of Thomas Parke, dated 27 August 1833, from the Office of the President.
This collection also holds the Secretary's annual reports, 1934-1940, as well as a file regarding the Chana Medical School project (1963).
