Abstract:: Edith Dabney Ford was a History major at Bryn Mawr who graduated in 1903. Her scrapbook consists of materials from all four years of her college career and is extremely dense and consists primarily of personal correspondence and notes/poems/signs etc. from friends. However, it also contains quite a few unique photographs and gives a broad view of undergraduate life at Bryn Mawr.

Abstract:: Josephine Case was the designer/manager for a variety of performances at Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges. She graduated from Bryn Mawr in 1954 with a degree in History.The Josephine Case Schnurman scrapbook is comprised of a two-volume scrapbook which covers 1950-1954 and which contains mostly materials about theatrical and musical performances at Bryn Mawr College and beyond. There is also a great number of personal correspondence and cards, as well as some casual photographs in good condition.

Ruth Emerson (Fletcher) scrapbook, 1890-1897 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Ruth Emerson majored in Greek and Latin, graduating from Bryn Mawr College in 1893. She did graduate work at Columbia College and the American School of Classical Studies in Athens in these areas, as well. She taught Latin, Greek, and History at the secondary school level. The Ruth Emerson (Fletcher) scrapbook houses the one volume scrapbook of Ruth Emerson, Bryn Mawr College class of 1893. The scrapbook, which ranges from 1890-1897, consists mostly of letters and poems to Ruth from friends and other personal memorabilia without a lot of context.

Lucy Fairbank scrapbook, 1932-1933 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Lucy Fairbank was a member of the Bryn Mawr class of 1935. She was born into a prominent Chicago family, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Fairbank. At Bryn Mawr, she was involved in theater, field hockey, and the Bryn Mawr League. The Lucy Fairbank scrapbook houses the one volume scrapbook created and kept by Fairbank. The scrapbook, which spans 1932 to 1933, is small and contains mostly photographs taken at Bryn Mawr and during Fairbank's vacations.

Elizabeth M. Fauvre (Owen) scrapbook, circa 1919

Abstract:: Elizabeth Fauvre was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1919 in Languages (French, Spanish, and Italian). She married R. Wynn S. Owen and had two children. She was active in civic organizations throughout her adult life and was a member of the Sewing Club for over 50 years. She also volunteered at the Riley Children's Hospital. Fauvre died in 1987. The Elizabeth M. Fauvre (Owen) scrapbook houses the one volume scrapbook thought to have been created by Fauvre. The donor is unknown, but the album is presumed to be the property of Fauvre because of initials found taped to inside of a mortarboard in poor condition.

Alice B. Hammond scrapbook, undated, c. 1898

Abstract:: Alice Bradford Hammond graduated from Bryn Mawr in 1898 and later studied Greek and Latin at Yale. She was an expert linguist in Greek and Latin. She died in 1951. The Alice B. Hammond scrapbook consists of the Hammond's one volume scrapbook. The scrapbook is undated, and consists primarily of photographs.

Phoebe Helmer scrapbook, 1916-1917 (inclusive)

Extent:: 1 volumes
Abstract:: Phoebe Helmer was born in 1899. She attended Bryn Mawr from 1916 to 1920. After World War I, she joined Miss Anne Morgan's Committee for the Reconstruction of Devastated France. Up until her first marriage in 1928 to Seymour Wadsworth, she taught at the Nightingale-Bamford School. Helmer married twice more, to Gerritt Weston from 1965-1968, and David R. Hawkins from 1972-1982 and had four children. She was interested in libraries, education and international affairs. Helmer died in 1996. The Phoebe Helmer scrapbook houses Helmer's one volume scrapbook. The scrapbook contains material from Helmer's first year at Bryn Mawr, from 1916-1917.

Margaret Hilles (Johnson) scrapbook, 1890-1910 (inclusive)

Extent:: 1 volumes
Abstract:: Margaret Hilles was born in 1870. She went to secondary school in Wilmington and later attended Bryn Mawr College, graduating in 1893. Her husband was a mining engineer, and she did a large amount of travelling until his death in 1919. Hilles was involved in a number of groups. She was active in Friends organizations and a founder of the Chester County Library Association. She was a member of the Downingtown Friend's Meeting and the Downingtown Auxiliary to Chester County Hospital. Hilles passed away in 1950. The Margaret Hilles Johnson scrapbook contains Johnson's one-volume scrapbook. The scrapbook contains material from roughly 1890-1910, but focuses on Hilles' four years at Bryn Mawr.

Lois Linn Killough Buss scrapbook, volume 1: 1943-1947 volume: 1947 (inclusive)

Extent:: 2 volumes
Abstract:: Lois Linn Killough attended Bryn Mawr College, graduating with the class of 1947 with a degree in Geology. Killough remained highly involved in alumnae activities post-graduation. She married Onno B. Buss and had two children. Killough volunteered the Interfaith Human Relations Council and the Women's Program Committee. She worked for the Cox Travel Bureau (travel consultant), the Olson Travel Organization (tour conductor), and the Humble Oil and Refining Co. (evaluation geologist). Killough died February 11, 1998. The Lois Linn Killough Buss scrapbooks Killough's two scrapbooks. The bulk of the material in Volume 1 is from Killough's Bryn Mawr career, from 1943-1947. Volume 2 contains material from 1947 only.

Henrietta Magoffin scrapbook, 1907-1914 (inclusive)

Extent:: 1 volumes
Abstract:: Henrietta Magoffin attended Bryn Mawr, graduating in 1911. From the 1962 Alumnae Bulletin: "She was a lifelong resident of Mercer, PA, whose Historical Society Museum was the family homestead built by her grandfather in 1821, and donated to the town by Henrietta. Her interests and activity in its behalf were extended to other organizations, the Red Cross, from whom she received a citation, the Library, and the United Presbyterian Church of which she was a member. She continued her interest in languages and the classics throughout her life." Magoffin passed away on November 8, 1961. The Henrietta Magoffin scrapbook houses Magoffin's "The Girl Graduate, Her Own Book" scrapbook. The scrapbook covers the years from 1907-1914, and contains a lot of well-organized Bryn Mawr-related and personal memorabilia.
