Overview and metadata sections
Parchment covered volume with a metal clasp closure containing a collection of culinary recipes by an unknown author. A watermark throughout the ruled volume reads Joynson 1844 suggesting the recipes in this cookbook were probably written in England between 1844 to 1890. William Joynson operated a paper mill in Kent, England. The volume has 186 numbered pages with a table of contents on the first two pages of the volume listing fifteen types of recipes. A section of pages is assigned to each category of recipe. Several pages in the volume are blank.
