Georgie Willis Glenn (d. 1993) was an educator who served as a representative to the United Nations for the World Organization for Early Childhood Education. She was a member of the boards of Haverford College and the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. She was the wife of John David Glenn and the mother of Beverly Glenn-Copeland.
John David Glenn, (d. 1972) was a faculty member and principal of Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Georgie Willis Glenn and the father of Beverly Glenn-Copeland.
Beverly Glenn-Copeland (stage name Phynix) (1944-) is a singer-songwriter. He has appeared on Sesame Street, among other performances. He is transgender, but retained his birth name after his transition.
This is a collection of correspondence and other miscellaneous documents related to the careers of Georgie Willis Glenn (d. 1993), an educator and Haverford College Board Member, and her husband John Glenn (d. 1972), also an educator. The collection also contains articles and reviews related to Beverly Glenn-Copeland (1944-), their child and a performer. In addition, there is a small batch of documents related to a Hanks-Turner family reunion and a Glenn-Carter family tree.

Includes correspondence and documents regarding OMEP, the World Organisation (sic) for Early Childhood Education; the history of the Convention on the Rights of the Child; and information on home economics education. Also includes a plaque honoring Willis-Glenn's years of service on the Board of Directors at Foulkeways, a retirement community, at Gwynned, PA, 1990.

Includes information on his work as a physical education teacher and a principal; on his memorial, 1972; on his doctoral thesis on education (left unfinished by his death); and two copies of the Gratzonian, the Simon Gratz High School yearbook, 1964 and 1972 (1964 was during his tenure there; 1974 has a memorial page for him).
