Abstract:: Anna "Nancy" S. Taylor was a Bryn Mawr Chemistry major in the class of 1941. The Nancy S. Taylor papers consist of letters sent from Taylor, her future husband, her family, and her friends as well as ephemera and other printed materials that document Taylor's academic and social life at Bryn Mawr and the personal lives and thoughts of Taylor and her loved ones. The papers provide a personal look at the life and thoughts of a Bryn Mawr science major as she navigates her final years of college and begins to plan for her future with her soon-to-be husband while providing a glimpse at the lives, concerns, and thoughts of Americans, particularly white college students, amid growing concerns of World War II.

Abstract:: The M. A. Irvine Papers contains materials related to Bryn Mawr alumnae Mary Agnes Irvine (Class of 1910)'s work during World War One in the Y.M.C.A. Canteen Service. It contains four scrapbooks related to her service, as well as correspondence and photographs. This collection would be of interest to anyone interested in women's work in France during WWI.

Abstract:: Eva Bryne was a Bryn Mawr student in the class of 1916 who went on to earn a M.A. in Latin in 1917 and a PhD in 1925 from the College. The Eva Bryne papers contain the personal papers of Bryne, dated 1882 to 1973, that document the lives, relationships, and interests of Bryne, her family, her close female friends, and some of her BMC classmates primarily from 1912 to 1971. The papers include correspondence, ephemera, personal writings, photographs, and other individuals' personal papers, with correspondence comprising the bulk of the materials. The strength of the papers lies in its documentation of Bryne and her friends' daily lives, of the experiences of BMC alumnae, and of Bryne's close, and at times romantic, friendships with three women, including Bryne's involvement in a three-way, family-coded relationship with two of these friends.
