Abstract:
Nathalie Gookin was a student at Bryn Mawr from 1916-1920. Her collection consists of daily letters written to her parents and aunt during her time in college, as well as some letters from before she matriculated and some from after she graduated. She was admitted to Bryn Mawr with a $100 Western States Scholarship at the age of sixteen and she was the youngest person in the college. She lived in Rockefeller dorm all four years, majored in English and Latin, and graduated 5th in her class, magna cum laude. She was a member of the English and French clubs. Nathalie's letters to her parents are detailed and frank. Frequent subjects include frustrations with the workload, classes, professors, social life in the dorms, and larger campus-wide events. During her freshman and part of her sophomore year, she writes frequently about her admiration of Helen Harris, class of 1917. Clarence S. Fisher Giza Expedition records, 1914-1920 (inclusive)

Abstract:
From January 28 to March 9, 1915 Clarence Stanley Fisher (1876-1941) conducted excavations at Giza, assisted mainly by Ashton Sanborn, but also by H. Lyman Story and Alan Rowe. Bechari Mahfud was the field photographer. Fisher had worked as expedition architect at Giza with George Andrew Reisner in 1908-1910. A graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Architecture, Fisher began his career as an archaeologist during the University Museum’s Fourth Expedition at Nippur (modern Iraq) in 1899-1900. The Records of the Clarence S. Fisher Giza Expedition are housed in two archival boxes of field notes and publication materials, one box of photographs and maps and drawings filed in the manuscript case.

Abstract:
Edward Jenkins (1758-1829) owned and operated a store in Gwynedd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. After his death, the business was taken over by one of his sons, Charles Foulke Jenkins (1793-1867). Charles F. Jenkins' son, Algernon Sidney Jenkins (1816-1890), was a long-serving Justice of the Peace in Gwynedd. The Jenkins family papers, 1800-1920 [bulk 1800-1890] consist of records from Edward Jenkins' store, Jenkins family correspondence, Algernon S. Jenkins court records, estate-related materials, and other family papers.
