Abstract:
This collection includes papers relating to Rachel H. Roberts and her family. Included is correspondence between Esther Hunt Collins and her first husband, Joshua Hunt, his brother John, her children Elisha, Caleb and Rachel, her second husband, John Collins, and Hannah Yarnall. Also included is correspondence between Rachel H. Roberts and her husband, David. The collection includes genealogical information on the Roberts, Hooton, and other related families, along with wills and account books of Joseph and Susanna Roberts. Letters relate family news, impressions of Redstone Monthly Meeting of Friends, and discussions of Quaker discipline.

Old York Road Historical Society deeds collection, circa 1680-1950

Abstract:
Montgomery County, situated in southeastern Pennsylvania and established in 1784 out of the western portion of Philadelphia County, has played an important role in U.S. history. Since its founding, it has experienced "booming industry and manufacturing, rich farm fields, advanced transportation, artistic endeavors and unique religious beliefs." The history of the area of eastern Montgomery County has been documented significantly through the collecting efforts of the Old York Road Historical Society. The Old York Road Historical Society deeds collection, circa 1680-1950, consists of about 600 deeds, indentures, and property records dating from the 17th century to the 20th century. Most are from the region of eastern Montgomery County.

St. David's Church (Radnor, Pa.) records, 1860-2015 (bulk) 1678-2015 (inclusive)

Abstract:
St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, Radnor Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania traces its origins to 1700, when services were held in the homes of local residents. The original church building, still extant on the property, was constructed in 1715, and continues to be used as a place of worship. In 1956, a new building, known as the "chapel" was constructed. A new and larger chapel was built in 2006 and the 1956 chapel was reconfigured as a fellowship hall and renamed St. David's Hall. As of 2016, St. David's Episcopal Church continues to live into its mission: "to know God in Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to others" and to expand its congregation. It also remains committed to continuing worship and maintaining and increasing its education activities and outreach ministries. Abstract:
Westtown School in Chester County, Pennsylvania is the oldest continuously operating coeducational boarding school in the United States. It was founded by the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in 1799 with the goal of educating Quaker children in an environment that fostered moral development consistent with their religious ideals. The Westtown School records, 1682-2013 (bulk 1799-2013), include records created by Westtown Boarding School, including its various administrative offices, Board of Trustees, faculty, and students. It is organized into nine series: "19th century records," "20th century records," "Board of Trustees," "Farm and Orchard," "Student papers," "Westtown Old Scholars Association and Westtown Alumni Association," "Subject files," "Special formats," and "Publications." Malin Family Papers, 1685-1881 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The collection is largely composed of financial, legal and real estate documents relating to the Malin property in Upper Providence, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Randall Malin of Cheshire, England, purchased 250 acres from William Penn in 1681. The bulk of the papers are related to the tenure of his grandson William Malin (1727-1803). His son Abner Malin (1752-1848) married Rachel Ogden in 1803 and was disowned by Chester Monthly Meeting in 1805. Other papers concern their son Stephen O. Malin (1806-1892) who continued to farm the property, family estate papers, and a small number of letters received by Rachel Ogden Malin.
