Abstract:: PG6 Quaker meeting reference files consists primarily of publications by and about Quaker meetings and committees, including pamphlets, newspaper clippings, ephemera, and other materials (mostly secondary source), collected at various times from various sources, and organized by meeting. It also includes directories (including lists of Quaker member organizations and individual Quakers) and epistles (letters exchanged between Quaker organizations, especially from one yearly meeting to another; often used to articulate Quaker doctrine and discipline). Some almanacs are stored with the collection, but are cataloged separately.

Abstract:: The manuscript of Gergory Barnes's "Philadelphia's Arch Street Meeting House: A Biography" provides a history of Philadelphia's Arch Street Meeting House from the purchase of the land by William Penn in 1683, to the present, including important Quaker individuals, the influence of Philadelphia's history on the Meeting House, the Orthodox-Hicksite separation, and the Wilburite-Gurneyites.

Abstract:: This collection contains the letters of Carter Nash, a Quaker inmate of a federal correctional institution in Texarkana, Texas, to Special Collections at Haverford College, regarding his religious beliefs and requests for books. This correspondence took place from 1999 to 2000. Eventually, this correspondence led to his publication of a September 2000 column in the publication Quaker Life. A copy of the column is also included.
