- Abstract:
- Sharon Hill is a community in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. Largely undeveloped until 1872, the construction of a railroad in the area spurred residential and commercial growth. Sharon Hill separated from Darby Township and incorporated as a borough in 1890. The Jean Shiber clippings collection on Sharon Hill, 1935-2013 (bulk 1991-2013), relates to Sharon Hill history and events, including politics, local sports, disasters, and other happenings in the area. It consists mostly of newspaper clippings with some ephemera and flyers; recent volumes include Sharon Hill Mayor's newsletters and Borough Council meeting agendas.
