Abstract:: George Washington Holstein, M.D., was a prominent citizen of Bridgeport in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was at times a burgess, postmaster, and school director. He was a Civil War veteran and long-time member of the Odd Fellows. The George W. Holstein family papers, 1817-1927, consist primarily of Dr. Holstein's journals, notebooks, essays, and correspondence. There are also some journals and papers from other family members.

Abstract:: The Bertolet Meeting House and Burial Ground is a restored one-story brick Mennonite meeting house with a burial ground in Upper Frederick, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Bertolet Burying Ground Association records, 1874-1992, consist primarily of financial and administrative records of the Bertolet Burying Ground Association, with genealogical research on the Bertolet family. It features minute books dating from the start of the organization, in 1889, through 1992; most of the remaining materials date from the 1970s to the 1990s.

Abstract:: The Childs and Moon families were long-time residents of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Nicholas Lewarne Childs (1940-2009) taught history and Asian studies in private secondary schools in New Jersey, Iran, and Singapore. The bulk of the Childs family papers, 1818-1991, relate to Nicholas L. Childs and date from about 1965 to 1991, but there are also older materials from Louis M. Childs II, Nicholas L. Moon, Jacob Childs, Lizzy Orchard, and other Childs and Moon family members. The collection is comprised of correspondence, travel journals, travel ephemera, lecture notes and slides, photographs, genealogical research, legal documents, vital records, and other miscellaneous papers.
