Abstract:
The first meeting house for members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Byberry, Philadelphia was built in the 1690s. Byberry Monthly Meeting was formally established by Abington Quarterly Meeting out of Horsham Monthly Meeting in 1810, and is currently active as of 2011. At the heart of the Byberry Library local history collection are several dozen scrapbooks which are filled with secondary and primary materials relating to local history topics. The collection also includes deeds and real estate records, marriage certificates, numerous maps, and a number of genealogies of varying length. There are also records from several local businesses and schools, such as financial records, minutes, and other administrative records.

Friends of Northeast Philadelphia History local history collection, 1796-2009 (inclusive)

Abstract:
Northeast Philadelphia is one of the largest sections of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, bounded by the Delaware River, Bucks County, Montgomery County, and Tacony and Frankford Creeks. Before the City of Philadelphia was consolidated in 1854, the area was made up of several independent townships and boroughs, many of which had been settled in the 17th century by Swedes and Welsh and English Quakers. Industry developed early in the Northeast's history due to its proximity to several creeks and Philadelphia, but its population did not experience large growth until the 20th century. The Friends of Northeast Philadelphia History local history collection, 1796-2009, is comprised of small groups of materials from various local families, businesses, and historians.

Magarie Edna Green Andrews Smith was born in Elveton, West Virginia in 1911 and relocated to the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1933, where she married Robert Andrews and worked as a baby nurse. The Magarie Andrews Smith family papers, 1899-2001, consist of funeral programs, photographs, and other materials that relate to Magarie Edwards, her family, and the Frankford section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bulk of the collection consists of late twentieth-century funeral programs for members of the African American community of Frankford.

Globe Dye Works, established in 1865 by Richard Greenwood and William Bault, was a textile dying plant located in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania specializing in the bleaching and dying of yard and thread. The plant was owned and operated by the Greenwood family until its closure in 2005. The Globe Dye Works records, 1865-2005, consist of financial and administrative records, employee records, board and stockholder meeting minutes, maps, scrapbooks, photographs, photograph albums, property documents relating to the ownership and sales of the Globe Dye Works and Greenwood family properties, and other materials.

The Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is located in the lower northeast section of the city and is bordered by the Frankford Creek on the south, Castor Avenue on the west, Cheltenham Avenue on the north, and roughly the I-95 expressway on the east. Originally a village, Frankford was incorporated as a borough in 1800 and was later absorbed into the City of Philadelphia in the 1854 Philadelphia city/county consolidation. Frankford Hospital records, circa 1918-1990s

Abstract:
Frankford Hospital was chartered in 1903 by doctors Joseph Ball and Charles P. Brady to serve as a community hospital in the Frankford area of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hospital grew quickly, expanding to meet the needs of neighborhoods in Northeast Philadelphia through the additions of a maternity wing, a modern emergency room, expanded laboratory facilities, and two additional locations in Torresdale and Bucks County. In 2009, Frankford Hospital changed its name to Aria Health to better reflect its expanded, regional services in Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County. As of 2015, Aria Health is the largest healthcare provider in Northeast Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County. The Frankford Hospital records, circa 1918-1990s, consist primarily of photographs, but also contain letters and memos, annual reports, and various other materials relating to Frankford Hospital.
