Abstract:
Historical Society of Trappe, Collegeville, Perkiomen Valley collection of personal papers and organizational records, 1747-1998, is comprised of small groupings of family papers, organizational records, and miscellaneous original archival items. It includes photographs, deeds, scrapbooks, minute books, ledgers, financial papers, estate papers, and diaries. Of special interest is a record book kept by Henry Vanderslice, a wagonmaster who served under General Muhlenburg during the Revolutionary War, and was stationed at Pennsylvania Camp, Reading, 1777-1780.

Abstract:
The cornerstone for Fifth Street Methodist Episcopal Church at the intersection of Fifth and York Streets in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, was laid in 1888. Its name was changed to Thomas Searles Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church when the congregation moved to a new church building designed by Joseph M. Huston in 1911. In 1991, Thomas Searles Memorial United Methodist Church was reorganized as Hope United Methodist Church in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. The Searles Memorial United Methodist Church records, 1889-1995, consist primarily of membership records, official and administrative board minutes, and Quarterly Conference and Charge Conference minutes, with some event programs and pamphlets, photographs, financial and property records, and other documents.

Both John W. Ridpath (a Jenkintown pharmacist, newspaper publisher, and borough government official) and his son, William M. Ridpath (an engineer), were amateur photographers. The John W. and William M. Ridpath photographs, 1890-1935, consist mostly of glass plate negatives, with some contact prints and (film) slides created later. John W. Ridpath's photographs include local scenes of eastern Montgomery County as well as some domestic scenes of late Victorian home-life. William M. Ridpath's photographs document his work on the construction of the Panama Canal as well as aspects of life in Panama.

Wyncote Audubon Society (Wyncote Bird Club) records, 1914-1993 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The Wyncote Audubon Society was founded in 1914 as the Wyncote Bird Club by Ernest Harold Baynes. Its goal was the preservation of birds and their environment; later, it took on the management of Crosswicks Wildlife Sanctuary and the preservation of Briar Bush Nature Center. The Club became a chapter of the National Audubon Society in 1968, and in 1977 it incorporated as the Wyncote Audubon Society. The Wyncote Audubon Society (Wyncote Bird Club) records, 1914-1993, include meeting minutes, financial records, membership records, activity files, several films, and other records of the organization.

The Woman's Club of Wyncote was organized in 1898 to form an organized center for the intellectual and social development of its members, and to promote such public measures as shall be conducive to the welfare of the community. Its programs were devoted to literary subjects and interests. The bulk of the Woman's Club of Wyncote records, 1898-2005, is scrapbooks compiled by member Flavia Witte. There are also some minute books, account ledgers, membership lists, and other manuscript volumes.

Abstract:
Henry C. Gibson (1830-1891), one of the wealthiest men in Philadelphia in his time, indulged liberally in collecting art and philanthropic causes. His son, J. Howard Gibson, lived from about 1855 until about 1894. J. Howard's grandson, Henry C. Gibson, Jr. (born circa 1922), established a firm to explore commercial uses of atomic energy in Palm Beach, Florida. The Gibson family papers, 1860-1955, primarily concern John Howard Gibson and his father Henry Clay Gibson, with some material on other family members. It consists mostly of family scrapbooks and memorabilia.
