This Hillside Cemetery was formed in 1890 in Abington, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and is still in operation as of August 2012.
This collection consists of miscellaneous Hillside Cemetery records, including Philadelphia Health Office permits for body removals, 1896 and for interments, 1903, bank statements, 1939-1940, a Charles Rabenold blueprint for 1948 office alterations, and account book, August 1960-May 1968, for lost sold/amount due maintenance fund, special care income, and accounts, and assorted plot plans for Hillside and Ardsley Burial Park.
Summary descriptive information on this collection was compiled in 2011-2012 as part of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s Hidden Collections Initiative for Pennsylvania Small Archival Repositories (HCI-PSAR), using data provided by the Old York Road Historical Society. The HCI-PSAR project was funded by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
