Abstract:
Haverford Township is a suburb of Philadelphia situated near the wealthy "Main Line" west of the city. It encompasses the community of Havertown and parts of Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Drexel Hill, and Wynnewood in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The Haverford Township Historical Society photograph collection, 1895-2014, depicts the people, buildings, and scenery of Haverford Township (Delaware County, Pennsylvania). Buildings, especially historic sites, are particularly well represented, but there are also family photographs and photographs of other subjects.

Abstract:
James Wood (1839-1925) was "interested in education, philanthropy, in the various branches of agriculture, in archaeology, history, Indian lore, anthropology, science, in prison reform and above all, in the Bible and religion," (ABS, 2). He was also a business man, serving as President of the Genesee Salt Company in Piffard, New York. The James Wood papers are divided into twelve series: "Biographical Material:" "Agriculture;" Business and Financial Material;" "Collected Quaker Material;" "Correspondence;" "Hugh Barbour Writings and Talks regarding James Wood;" "Journals;" "Organizations;" "Photographs and Albums;" "Political Involvement;" Prison Reform;" and lastly, "Writings by James Wood." This collection contains many materials, including correspondence, photographs, record books, awards, and printed material such as newspapers and pamphlets. Reinhardt, Hawley and Hewes family papers, 1762-1955 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The Reinhardt, Hawley, Hewes and Meredith families are tied together through marriage and their Quaker faith across multiple generations. William Dell Reinhardt, a University of Pennsylvania graduate and doctor, married Rebecca Hawley, a teacher. They had six children: Jesse Hawley Reinhardt, Mary Bailey Reinhardt, Esther Meredith Reinhardt, Lydia Ludwig Reinhardt, Elizabeth Christina Reinhardt, and David Jones Reinhardt. David Jones Reinhardt married Anna Margaret Hewes in 1896. These individuals created the bulk of the material contained within this collection. This collection consists of correspondence; account books; certificates; diaries and household information lists; friendship books; land and insurance records; marriage certificates; miscellaneous family records; wills and estates; genealogical research; photographs; Quaker tracts and poetry; newspaper clippings; and Acts of the Assembly of the Province of Pennsylvania. Archibald Hunter Graham "History of Haverford College Cricket", 1926

Abstract:
This volume is a typed manuscript of "History of Haverford College Cricket" written by Archibald Hunter Graham in 1926. It recounts the history of cricket at Haverford College, listing students who were on the team and detailing some of the important matches. In the end of the volume there is a letter to J. Henry Scattergood from July 14, 1931 from C.M.M. (possibly Charles Chistopher Morrris, Class of 1904). The letter explains that C.M.M. is returning the History of Haverford College Cricket volume, and that if the manuscript is to be made into a book, there would have to be changes. There is also a note that explains that Archibald Hunter Graham graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1895 and wrote a history of cricket at that instutution as well.

John F. Headly scrapbook, 1924-1983 (inclusive)

Abstract:
This volume is a yearbook from the class of 1924, with images and clippings inside pertaining to their class reunions and the activities of John F. Headly. This book was brought to their 35th and 40th reunions and autographed. Annotations were also added to the book up until 1983, indicating which of the members of that class had passed away. For some of the alumni, a picture of them from these reunions was taped above their photo from 1924 in the yearbook. The scrapbook also includes correspondence and photographs from these reunions. There are also notes inside the yearbook when Headly is mentioned, including the story of how he met his wife, Dorothy Folwell Irwin Headly.
