Abstract:: William Warder Matos (1872-1935) owned an advertising company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the early 20th century. He was heavily involved in planning the Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition of 1926. The William W. Matos papers on the Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition, 1831-1928 (bulk 1920-1928), primarily consist of correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, and ephemera relating to the Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition. Other materials in the collection include some personal papers of William W. Matos and a scrapbook documenting Women's Committee fundraising tea parties for the 1876 Centennial Exposition.

Abstract:: The Taylor Family Papers Addition primarily contains correspondence, other printed materials, and photographs related to William Nicholson Taylor who was born June 22, 1882 to Frank Hendrickson Taylor (1855-1943) and Rebecca "Bessie" Nicholson Taylor (1857-1944) and his family. The collection includes materials belonging to his wife, Gertrude Christine Duret de Brie (1897-1983), their three children, Constance Alix (1921), Benjamin de Brie "Brie" (1923), and Marie-Celine "Mimi" (1925), and other family members.

George Fox's 'Book of Miracles', 1881-1974 (inclusive) 1948-1974 (bulk)

Abstract:: This collection contains a 1948 copy of George Fox's 'Book of Miracles' as well as various corresponding items. This includes a letter from Douglas G. Lister to Henry J. Cadbury, multiple letters from Janet F. Rice of the Cambridge University Press Subsidiary Rights Department confirming that Cadbury will recieve two complimentary copies of the reprinted book once published in 1973, a letter directly from Octagon Books's Editor-In-Chief Henry G. Schlanger, and many more materials related to Henry J. Cadbury and/or George Fox. This collection also contains a revised list of Haverford Meeting attendees and members in 1898 by Mary Rhoads Garrett, and an 1881 copy of "How To Enter Into Rest."

Abstract:: This collection contains materials that belonged to members of the Wistar and Canby families, prominent families in Pennsylvania and Delaware. It consists mostly of diaries, photographs, and personal papers that belonged to members of the extended Wistar-Canby family. Many of the letters and personal papers have to do with family genaological research pursued by William Marriott Canby Jr. Also included in this collection is a baby shirt and cap worn by William Canby in 1748.

Abstract:: Harrison Freeman Matthews Sr. (1899-1986) was a U.S. diplomat and career ambassador. This collection consists of correspondence, a draft of his memoirs, photographs, clippings, films and miscellaneous papers. It includes correspondence with Elizabeth Luke Matthews and a diary she kept during a visit to her husband in Vichy, France in 1940-42.
