Abstract:: The Newtown Cooperative Association was a farmer's purchasing cooperative, organized in 1922 to gain bulk discounts on supplies for farmers in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was absorbed in 1968 by Eastern State Farmers Exchange, which merged with Grange League Federation and became Agway. The Newtown Cooperative Association financial ledgers and minute books, 1922-1962, contain about 30 volumes of various financial records and two minute books.

Abstract:: The White Hall Hotel is an historic structure in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The hotel had numerous owners including the Chesner family, who owned and operated the inn for a large part of the 20th century. The building, gutted by fire in 1979, has since been converted into commercial/retail and office space. The White Hall Hotel records, 1897-1956, consist primarily of ledgers with daily accounts, inventory lists, and employee records. Abstract:: Newtown, the county seat of Bucks County from 1726 to 1813, is one of the most historic areas in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Although it is unknown when the first school in Newtown was established, public and private schools flourished during the 19th century. In 1946, as mandated by the Commonwealth, Newtown became part of the extensive Council Rock School District. The Newtown Historic Association collection on Newtown schools, 1764-2013 (bulk 1900-2013) consists of records of the School Board, including minute books, account books, and treasurer's records. There are also a significant number of photographs of buildings, activities, students, and graduating classes as well as a collection of photographs of most of the one room school houses in Bucks County.

Abstract:: Settled by Quakers beginning in 1680, the small town of Langhorne in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, became an important transportation center between Trenton and Philadelphia. Harvey G. Wells, a stone mason, and his son Gilbert R. Wells, a contractor and builder, were involved in a significant amount of construction in the town during its growth from the mid-19th to the early 20th century. The Wells family papers, 1845-1959, consist primarily of the business records of Harvey G. Wells and Gilbert R. Wells. Records include account books, lists of jobs and workers, daybooks, and land agreements, as well as financial papers such as cashbooks. The collection also includes some Wells family papers and ephemera.
