- Samuel Hazard (1784-1870) was a prominent Philadelphia historian who studied the early records of colonial Pennsylvania and also collected engravings, prints, and ephemera documenting comtemporary Pennsylvania and Philadelphia. This collection consists of his scrapbook of material relating to the history of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania as well as a number of loose documents that may have been intended for the scrapbook or interleaved therein.
