- Abstract:
- Collection of 66 items of printed ephemera related to the First World War, nearly all produced by Germans, dating from 1914 to 1920, including mostly fliers, broadsides, posters, and newspapers. The majority of the items date from the war period and either address German military personnel or are related to the civilian war effort. Nine items relate to German-occupied territories. Seven items date from the immediate postwar period, including three items related to the Kapp Putsch. One quarter of the items are illustrated (some in color), including six items (three broadsides and three military newspapers) containing caricatures or cartoons.
