Hospitals, Paternalism, and the Role of the Nurse. She spoke and wrote prolifically on nursing, health care, and sexism and gender relations. This collection of papers and multimedia items documents Ashley's professional career. It includes correspondence, articles and speeches, and research materials. Also included are some of Ashley's personal papers, including a complete set of her poetry.
