Abstract:: In 1983, Anne Marie Eriksson (formerly Anne Marie Townsend) and husband Erik Eriksson helped found the Incest Survivors Resource Network International (ISRNI), a Quaker witness educational resource for incest survivors. After 15 years of operation, the firm filed for dissolution on June 5, 1998. The organization became a committee of the New York Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. ISRNI was a survivor-initiated organization that encouraged coordinated intervention and integrated treatment programs for incest victims and their families in full cooperation with child protection, law enforcement, and treatment agencies. ISRNI expanded to include the first national and international helpline answered in person by incest survivors-only. This collection contains documents and materials concerning the Incest Survivors Resource Network International (ISRNI) compiled by Anne Marie Eriksson, former president and board member. Abstract:: This collection contains papers concerning conscientious objection collected by New York Yearly Meeting. Folder 1 contains a small amount of correspondence regarding COs in 1914 from Ulysses DeRosa, a member of New York Yearly Meeting (Orthodox); folders 2 and 3 contain largely correspondence, 1939-1946, concerning work with COs by the subcommittee on Conscientious Objectors of the New York Yearly Meeting Committee on Peace and Social Order, Joint Work-Camp Committee, and the Metropolitan Board for Conscientious Objectors which centralized the work of advising; folder 4 contains letters, 1939-1940, from Quakers affirming their membership in the Society of Friends and their belief in the peace testimony; folder 5 contains material concerning registration and draft issues, 1948-1970.
