Abstract:

Josephine B. Hunter (1852-1926) was a lifelong resident of the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1883, she married the prominent merchant T. Comly Hunter. Both Josephine and her husband were heavily involved in their local community and highly influential in the development of Frankford in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Josephine B. Hunter scrapbooks, 1903-1935, consist of fourteen scrapbooks compiled by Josephine B. Hunter. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, invitations, event programs, letters, and obituaries relating to Frankford and its residents.
