- Steven R. Gerber (1948-2015) was an American classical composer. After studying music at Haverford College and Princeton University, he went on to compose a number of pieces for chamber, orchestra, choir, voice, and solo instruments. He is especially known for the frequency with which his works have been performed in Russia, where he participated in several musical tours in the 1990s. This collection contains materials related to Gerber's musical compositions, business, and personal life. This collection contains five series: "Compositions," "Business," "Personal," "Other Composers," and "Audiovisual." The first series is comprised of many sketches, drafts, and copies of his compositions. The business part of the collection also contains assorted documents such as publishing agreements, publicity documents, and Gerber's own analytical writings related to music.
